Danielle has had 20 years working in the Independent Education sector in Sydney. She is a passionate educator with expertise in Gifted Education, establishing two school wide programs during her school career.
Danielle knows first hand the needs of Gifted Students and enjoys working with students in the twice-exceptionality range. Her undergraduate study in Special Education and her postgraduate study in Gifted Education gives her solid grounding in these areas. Most recently Danielle was the Head of Junior School at Masada College and prior to taking the Head of school position, was Head of Academic care, implementing a Stage Three High Potential Learners' program.

Shirley Snoyman
Shirley has over 30 years of experience in teaching, training and coaching in Australia and South Africa, bringing out the personal bests in her students. Shirley has worked with the best educators across the globe and is excited to connect and collaborate with this network to inspire even more learners. Her specialties include High School Mathematics and Stress Management Techniques in particular those for Maths Anxiety. Over the last 7 years, she has taught all levels of High School Mathematics both privately and as the teacher of choice at Moriah College in long-service-leave cover capacities. Her private individual Maths coaching books are full until 2024, a testament to the demand of her connection with students and ability to bring out each student's abilities. Shirley has run workshops abroad for teachers, training them in the same stress management techniques she teaches her students. Shirley holds an Honours degree in Mathematics, is a Neuro Linguistic Practitioner and is a highly proficient teacher registered with NESA

Yang Sun
Yang is a senior English teacher at Marist College, Eastwood with more than ten years of teaching experience. She was part of the Moriah College English Department when they came 3rd in the state for English in 2017 and 9th in the state in 2018. Her students have consistently achieved Band 6s in the HSC Advanced and English Extension 1 courses. Previously, she has been an Assistant Head of English, Debating and Public Speaking Coordinator and the Literacy and Digital Coordinator. Yang is currently studying a Master degree in Creative Writing at the University of Sydney. In her spare time, she likes to research the field of educational psychology and develop resources on fostering metacognitive learners.

Felicity Segel
Felicity is a Primary School Educator who has worked with high potential learners as a teacher, facilitator and leader over more than 25 years. In her leadership role as Deputy Head in a Private Independent School, she established programs, supported teachers, and facilitated learning opportunities for gifted students across K-6. More recently, she has been involved with students keen to enter a selective stream or alternatively improve their academic standing in a school setting. Felicity is motivated and enthusiastic about the work she does and is committed to working with all stakeholders to analyse the learning profiles of her students and support them in developing and achieving their potential. Instruction has a strong academic focus where curiosity is encouraged to facilitate intrinsic motivation and develop independent learners. She also works with high potential 2e and neurodiverse students, who often have a jagged profile and require an individual learning assessment and program. Data is analysed to identify strengths and drive instruction. Students are taught and encouraged to transfer knowledge to new contexts and nurtured to become confident successful learners. Felicity recently completed a course at the Feuerstein Institute where teaching students how to think and learn is a focus. By identifying the learning aptitude and cognitive strengths of a student and by building on existing skills and knowledge, critical thinking and problem-solving skills can be enhanced.

Michelle Lyons-Zwarenstein
Michelle is a highly motivated and dedicated Head of Mathematics currently working at Emanuel School Randwick, with over 25 years Mathematics teaching classroom teaching experience in South Africa and Australia. Michelle is currently completing a Master of Counselling and Psychotherapy at ACAP.
Michelle's background is in curriculum planning and management, development and integration of a learning community and encouraging an enriching learning environment that provides students with a solid educational foundation. Michelle is passionate about assessing student needs and providing them with learning opportunities to enable them to achieve. As a member of the NESA Mathematics writing team for the new NSW Senior Years Mathematics syllabuses and Member of the writing team for the Consultation Reports for the new NSW Mathematics Stage 6 syllabuses she provides up to date learning opportunities enabling them to achieve their personal best. Michelle is passionate about student Wellbeing and the education of the whole child, consistently searching for ways to engage and motivate students, whilst looking after their Mental Health. She provides a learning environment, where she assesses student needs and provides them with learning opportunities.

Karen Jeroncic
In 2018, Karen joined the Mathematics Department at Reddam House. Apart from being known for her use of terrible puns, Karen is regarded as knowledgeable, calm, caring and approachable by her students.
In 2021, she taught Year 10 Mathematics, Advanced Mathematics, Extension 1 and Extension 2 Mathematics. Now on maternity leave, Karen looks forward to balancing family life with the sharing of her knowledge via tutoring.
She has tutored Mathematics since 2005 and has always been passionate about Mathematics education and accelerated study in Mathematics.
Karen graduated from UNSW with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Mathematics and minoring in Physics, and a Graduate Diploma of Education, with Science and Mathematics teaching double methods.
She was awarded the MANSW Teacher Education Student Prize in 2012 for her outstanding performance in her Mathematics Teaching Method studies and practicum.

Glenn Stephenson
Glenn is an experienced teacher and leader, having worked in various educational systems throughout his career. Glenn is committed to providing comprehensive instruction that fosters the individual development of each student across all areas of their learning. Glenn began teaching as the Literacy and Numeracy Coordinator (K-6) and then transitioned to another school as a Year Five classroom teacher and House Leader. Following this, Glenn worked at Knox Grammar Preparatory School for seven years and was appointed to multiple leadership positions during his tenure. Most recently, Glenn was the Head of Learning and Teaching (Pre K - Year 6) and Head of Academic Care (Pre K - Year 6) at Masada College and commencing in 2022, Glenn has been appointed as the Director of Junior School at St Patrick’s College, Strathfield. Glenn is a dedicated and professional educator. Understanding the importance of striving for excellence in every area, his passion in education results in a positive and engaging learning environment.

Simon is a keen mathematician, with the University Medal in pure mathematics from Sydney University and a bronze medal in the Australian team at the International Mathematics Olympiad in Istanbul in 1993. He has mentored students in the Australian Mathematics Olympiad training programs and prepared students for selection in the Australian team at several International Mathematics Olympiads. He has also co-authored and lectured Master's level courses at Macquarie University.

He has a double degree in advanced Mathematics and Computer Science, and spent two years working as a software engineer at Google, before returning to teaching in 2019. Jacob’s teaching approach focuses on helping students identify their blocks and misunderstandings and helping them find those “aha” moments essential to flourishing in STEM.

She is especially interested in Gifted Education and challenging higher ability students to think outside the square. She has taught OC classes and her current position is teaching and supporting gifted and high ability students in the Primary and High School. Julia is Harvard trained having completed the Teaching for Understanding and Thinking and Learning in the Maker-Centred Classroom courses through Harvard. She has a Master of Education and a Certificate of Education (Gifted) both from UNSW. Her passion is for lower primary literacy, having had extensive training (through the Institute for Multisensory Language Education) and experience in teaching students spelling and reading, including, but not limited to, students with dyslexia and other reading difficulties. Over the years, Leah has implemented these approaches in both her lower and upper primary classrooms and seen excellent results. She is excited to bring these skills and experience to the 4U2gr0w team.
